Best Cafes and Coffee Spots in Marbella (Tried and Tested)

Our favourite places for coffee, brunch, and working remotely across Marbella, San Pedro, Nueva Andalucia, and Puerto Banus.

Best Cafes and Coffee Spots in Marbella (Tried and Tested)

The Coffee Scene in Marbella

Spanish coffee culture traditionally means quick espressos at the bar. But Marbella has developed a proper cafe scene over the past few years. You can now find specialty coffee, all-day brunch spots, and laptop-friendly cafes across the area.

Here are our favourites, organised by location.

Nueva Andalucia

Pan & Mermelada

Best for: Brunch, weekend treat

This place has become an institution. The food is excellent, the atmosphere warm, and the service consistently good. Not cheap, but worth it for a special breakfast or brunch.

Order: Their eggs benedict or the avocado toast. Coffee is solid Expect to pay: €15-20 per person with coffee

Doff Caffè

Best for: Serious coffee

Located in Centro Plaza. They take coffee seriously here. French-style gourmet coffee in a small but pleasant space. Not a working cafe, more a quick stop for excellent coffee.

Order: Whatever they recommend. They know their beans Expect to pay: €3-4 for coffee

Delish

Best for: Quick healthy lunch

Opposite H10 Hotel. Gourmet takeaway and small seating area. Good for a quick lunch when you don't want to sit down properly.

San Pedro de Alcantara

Hustle n' Flow Eatery

Best for: Proper breakfast, laptop work

If you're in San Pedro, this is the spot. Colourful, friendly, fantastic breakfast options. Big enough to settle in with a laptop. Good coffee too.

Order: Their Turkish eggs are excellent. Smoothie bowls are popular Expect to pay: €12-18 for breakfast with coffee Wifi: Yes, reliable

Gym Gunkie Café

Best for: Protein-focused, healthy eating

On the San Pedro Boulevard. Marbella's first "protein cafe". Very healthy, very gym-bro. Good if you want nutrient-dense food without junk.

Order: Protein bowls, healthy wraps Expect to pay: €10-15

Urban Chai

Best for: Working remotely, reliable WiFi

Near the Boulevard. Good for settling in with work. Breakfast and lunch options. Not fancy but reliable.

Puerto Banus

Rosas Café

Best for: Instagram, group brunch

The famous pink flower wall. Very pretty, very photogenic, popular with influencers. The food is actually decent too. Good for special occasions or when visitors want "the experience".

Order: Brunch dishes, their pastries are good Expect to pay: €20-30 per person Note: Busy on weekends. Book ahead

Manuka

Best for: Healthy eating, organic options

Three locations (Puerto Banus, Plaza del Mar, La Cañada). Very healthy, organic focus. Good breakfast and brunch. More expensive but quality ingredients.

Order: Açai bowls, Turkish eggs, avocado toast Expect to pay: €18-25 for brunch

Milk & Honey

Best for: Reliable coffee stop

We stop here every time we're in Puerto Banus. Consistently good, not pretentious, nice staff.

Marbella Golden Mile / Centre

Organic

Best for: Detox, healthy treats

Trendy spot with earthy decor. Focus on healthy, organic food. Great juices and smoothies. Good for when you're feeling virtuous.

Order: Detox juices, healthy cakes Expect to pay: €12-18

Creperie L'Orangerie (Puente Romano)

Best for: Fancy treat, hotel atmosphere

Parisian-inspired setting in the Puente Romano area. Crepes, macarons, fancy coffee. Not cheap but lovely for a special occasion.

Order: Crepes, obviously. Their hot chocolate is excellent in winter Expect to pay: €15-25

Celicioso

Best for: Gluten-free

If you're gluten-free, this is your place. Everything is coeliac-friendly. Amazing cakes that taste like real cakes. Coffee is good too.

For Working Remotely

Best for laptop work:

1. Hustle n' Flow (San Pedro) - Good space, reliable wifi

2. Urban Chai (San Pedro) - Quieter, doesn't mind campers

3. WeCowork (if you want proper coworking) - Dedicated space, not a cafe

Where to avoid with laptop:
  • Small Spanish bars (not the culture)
  • Rosas Café (too busy, not appropriate)
  • Anywhere during weekend brunch rush

Quick Recommendations

Best specialty coffee: Doff Caffè (Nueva Andalucia) Best brunch: Pan & Mermelada (Nueva Andalucia) or Hustle n' Flow (San Pedro) Best for families: Manuka (multiple locations) Best view: Any beachfront chiringuito (not fancy coffee but nice setting) Best healthy options: Manuka, Organic, Gym Gunkie Best for people-watching: Rosas Café (Puerto Banus)

A Note on Spanish Cafes

Don't overlook regular Spanish bars. A cafe con leche and tostada con tomate at a local bar costs €3-4 total. It's not specialty coffee but it's perfectly good, and that's where the locals are.

The fancy brunch spots are great for weekends and occasions. For daily coffee, find a good local bar and become a regular. Better for your wallet and your Spanish.
