The Best Beaches in Marbella for 2026
From hidden coves to family-friendly stretches of sand, here are our favourite beaches along the Marbella coastline.
Our Favourite Beaches
Marbella's coastline stretches for 27 kilometres, offering everything from trendy beach clubs to quiet, unspoilt coves. Here's our pick of the best.
Playa de Nagüeles
Located on the Golden Mile between Marbella town and Puerto Banus, Nagüeles is a local favourite. The water is clean, the sand is golden, and it's less crowded than the beaches in town. There's a chiringuito for lunch and plenty of parking nearby.
Best for: Families, swimmers, those wanting a quieter vibePlaya de Cabopino
A bit further east but worth the drive. Cabopino has a beautiful natural setting with dunes, a small marina, and consistently clear water. The nudist section to the east is one of the few remaining on the coast.
Best for: Nature lovers, swimmers, a day tripPuerto Banus Beach
Right next to the marina, this beach offers prime people-watching and easy access to restaurants and bars. It gets busy, but that's part of the experience. Several beach clubs here offer loungers and full service.
Best for: Beach clubs, socialising, easy accessPlaya de San Pedro
San Pedro's town beach is unpretentious and family-friendly. The promenade along the back has been beautifully redeveloped, with playgrounds, exercise areas, and cafes. Good value chiringuitos.
Best for: Families, budget-conscious beachgoers, walkersBeach Tips
- **Arrive early** in summer - parking fills up fast
- **Bring cash** - many chiringuitos don't take cards
- **Check the flags** - green means safe swimming, red means don't enter
- **Shade is limited** - bring an umbrella if you don't want to rent
