Living in Elviria
Family-friendly beach suburb with schools and good amenities.
What it's like
Elviria has been home to expat families for decades. It's a mature, established area with tree-lined streets, spacious properties, and some of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol. The area revolves around the Elviria commercial centre (Centro Comercial Elviria) with restaurants, shops, and services. Don Pepe and Nikki Beach are nearby for beach club life, while the long sandy beaches are perfect for families. There's a genuine community feel - people know their neighbours, kids play together, and it feels like a proper place to live rather than a holiday spot.
Who it's best for
- Families with children

- Long-term residents
Walkability & Getting Around
Medium. The commercial centre is walkable from many properties, and the beach is accessible on foot. But Elviria is spread out, so you'll need a car for many errands and for trips to Marbella centre (10-15 min drive).
